Greg Wyght, MBA
Founder & President
Greg Wyght is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) Viterbi School of Engineering, Aviation Safety & Security program, and also holds an MBA from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC, as well as an International Diploma in Safety Management from the British Safety Council. He has received the “Salute to Excellence” in Safety from the Helicopter Association International (HAI) for contribution to industry safety, and he also received the Agar Stringer award from the Helicopter Association of Canada (HAC) for contribution to helicopter safety in Canada. He led the team that was awarded Transport Canada’s Aviation Safety Award, and the BC Aviation Safety Council’s Back and Barrington Award for contribution to aviation safety in Canada and British Columbia respectively. In his spare time Greg has served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit relief organizations as well as several industry committees including filling the role of Co-Chair of the JHSIT Committee, which was the implementation arm of the International Helicopter Safety Team (IHST).
Before moving into management roles, Greg started his aviation career as a Bench and Airframe Mechanic with McDonnell Douglas, and after attaining his fixed wing and helicopter license, he flew over 4,400 hours over the next 12 years in both single and twin engine helicopters, both VFR and IFR roles, and all across Canada and internationally.
Tara Wyght
VP Administation
Tara holds a BA in History and a Diploma in Library Information Sciences from Lakehead University. Her extensive education, skills and expertise in advanced research is an invaluable asset. Additionally, her experience in public relations and customer service has enable her to excel in leadership and administration within non-profit organizations such as the International Woman’s Association of Baku and many others. Her years of experience leading both international relief and educational organizations and youth support organizations - both domestically, and internationally – and her experience working with various levels of government has positioned her to be an invaluable administrative asset.
Cornelis (Hoefie) Haupt
Aviation Safety Advisor
Hoefie brings nearly 40 years of comprehensive experience in safety, quality, standards, operational solutions, and management. He previously served as fleet, commercial and FDM advisor with CHC Helicopter, providing operational and MOC solutions as well as planning and tender development through interaction between the Commercial, Fleet, Finance and Operational departments. During his years with Bristow Hoefie gained extensive experience in personnel and client management, having managed remote bases where he brought together people from different backgrounds and cultures to establish professional relationships. As aviation advisor for Roto Aviation Advisors he consulted on a seismic operation in West Papua and successfully established a culture of safety after several accidents and serious incidents. Before joining the oil and gas industry he flew for the military and police as helicopter and fixed wing pilot and instructor. Hoefie is adept at problem solution and to convey complex concepts in understandable terms. His extensive international experience includes operational, managerial, and advising assignments in Canada, Australia, Asia, Middle East, the Americas, and Africa.
Hoefie is Aviem trained in crisis response to provide practical care and support during crises. He obtained a B.Mil degree from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and holds Helicopter and Airline Transport licenses from the USA, Australia, South Africa, and Nigeria.
